2020 February Newsletter  – Girls to Secondary School

 

Dear Loyal Supporters

 

Great news this month.

 

WTWT we have been funding 30 ongoing secondary school students. This January we had 15 more girls come to us requesting funding because their parents do not have livestock to sell for their education. Without their continuing education their parents’ plan was for them to be married soon, with the resulting childbearing in these, their early teens. The girls did not want this.

 

 

We put out an appeal for help, as our funds were all allocated. We had a fabulous response and all 15 girls are now at secondary school. You can see the girls’ song of request above and then their resulting journeys to secondary in the photos below. Thank you so much!
